Our Nomads’ Experiences

Dronecoria is a research project to enable large-scale ecosystem restoration through the conditioning of forest seeds and their dispersal using drones and other tools. I arrived to conduct germination experiments and found a small community with space to welcome me. The advantages of the Alpujarra are above all, beauty, an endless mountain, low rental cost, and all the tranquility to create your own rhythms.

The Alpujarra has offered me the perfect balance between work and quality of life. The nomadic community is incredibly welcoming and the landscapes are simply inspiring. It is the perfect place to carry out my life project.

I am a ceramic artist based in Fondales, La Taha. My idea is to bring back to contemporary ceramics the traditional motifs and forms of both the Alpujarra and the rest of Spain.

I chose the Alpujarra for its natural environment and because it is the ideal place for my children to grow up. The village life and the rural school was what we were looking for. And we also enjoy a lot of cultural and social life.

We have cheaper rent and life in general than in a city. We can enjoy nature every day. We have the tranquility and security of living in a village. And I hope to be able to contact people in my situation or similar with whom to develop projects for rural environments such as the Alpujarra.
